Moncton Flight College Lands Large Pilot Training DealBackMoncton Flight College Lands Large Pilot Training Deal May 17, 2006 Beijing, For Immediate Release The Moncton Flight College today, signed a two-year contract with the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics valued at over 10 million dollars to train as many as 150 pilots over the next two years. If all options are exercised over the multiyear plan, it could result in a value of over 60 million dollars over a five-year period with upwards of 800 pilots. This signing is the result of numerous years of preparation and months of negotiations. The Moncton Flight College ’s recent approval by the Civil Aviation Authority of China to train Chinese pilots was the last major goal that the school had to pass. The Moncton Flight College is the only flight training school worldwide to have approvals from Transport , the Joint Aviation Authority of Europe and the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) in one training facility. The Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a major provider of pilots to the Chinese aviation industry. The training program that the new Chinese pilots will undertake will last 47 weeks. The first group of 30 student pilots is scheduled to be in as early as this July and will be followed by new groups approximately every 90 days. Mike Doiron , CEO and Principal of the Moncton Flight College stated, ”This is a great day for the College, the Greater Moncton area and the province of New Brunswick . We see this as simply the first of a series of new contracts and programs that will see the College double operations within the next year, and triple by year two.
